Happy Thanksgiving! If you are looking for something active to do with the family after or before your meal today, check out our Story Trail! We have two short books with a Thanksgiving theme--sing through a few verses of Over the River and Through the Woods and then a story about cranberries, called Cranberry Time.

Last week the school-wide positivity trait was "bravery." After finding out that many students become nervous when talking in front of people, Mrs. Durant's 7th-grade advisory group faced their fears by reading to some of our BMC Pre-K and Kindergarten students in Mrs. Fregoe's, Mrs. Southworth's and Ms. Inman's classes. Way to be brave, Panthers!

Our Story Trail has The Ox-Cart Man by Donald Hall this week! This is a nostalgic classic that looks at a small family farm and and the self-sufficiency the farmer and his family have in this lifestyle. It is also a book that highlights how simple our needs are, a timely reminder in this season of gratitude and Thanksgiving. This book will be on the trail until November 20th.
